If you’re using a ZeroWater pitcher, you’ve likely relied on the included TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) tester to monitor your water’s quality.

But how accurate is the ZeroWater tester compared to other high-quality TDS meters?

We decided to put the tester to the test!

Testing the Accuracy of the ZeroWater Tester

To verify the reliability of the ZeroWater TDS tester, we compared it against another highly rated and precise TDS meter:

The 6 in 1 UIUZMAR Water Quality Meter

Here’s what we found:

Test 1: Filtered Water

This test we filtered water through the ZeroWater Pitcher and then tested the TDS meters.

  • ZeroWater TDS Meter – 001 PPM
  • UIUZMAR TDS Meter – 006 PPM
  • Difference – 005 PPM

Test 2: Unfiltered Water

For this test, we just took unfiltered tap water straight from the sink.

  • ZeroWater TDS Meter – 077 PPM
  • UIUZMAR TDS Meter – 083 PPM
  • Difference – 006 PPM

Results: Minor Differences in Readings

The ZeroWater tester and the external TDS meter gave very similar readings for both unfiltered tap water and filtered water with a maximum difference of 006 PPM.

This shows that the ZeroWater pitcher and its tester works very accurealty and as promised, providing great filtration and accurate results.

    How the ZeroWater Tester Works

The ZeroWater TDS tester measures the amount of dissolved solids in your water, such as salts, minerals, and other impurities. A lower reading means purer water, with 000 ppm being the goal for completely purified water.

While some might assume the included tester is a low-quality tool due to its simplicity, the comparison test shows it’s as accurate as premium meters designed for professional use.

    Why Accuracy Matters

Accurate TDS measurements are essential for:

    • Ensuring Filter Performance: The tester helps you know when to replace your ZeroWater filter.
    • Water Quality Monitoring: It ensures your water is as pure as claimed, especially important for those with health concerns or sensitive taste preferences.

    Final Thoughts

The ZeroWater tester is not only accurate but also user-friendly, making it an excellent tool for monitoring your water quality.

Whether you’re using the included tester or a high-end alternative like the Professional TDS & EC Meter, the results remain consistent: ZeroWater’s filtration system reliably produces superb filtration every time.

If you’ve been hesitant to trust the included tester, rest assured it’s a reliable way to ensure your ZeroWater pitcher is performing at its best. With this level of accuracy, you can confidently enjoy pure, great-tasting water.
